Question 1

What sizes can I print?

Accepted Answer

Eight metric sizes from 1.5 × 0.5m to 3 × 2m and 4 × 1m, plus five sizes in feet: 4 × 2ft, 6 × 3ft, 8 × 3ft, 10 × 3ft and 8 × 4ft.

Question 2

Which material should I choose?

Accepted Answer

440gsm PVC is the standard, tough and weatherproof choice for most indoor and outdoor banners. 400gsm PVC-free is an eco-friendly alternative with a similar look. 260gsm mesh is perforated so wind passes through, which makes it the right choice for fences, scaffolding and exposed sites.

Question 3

Do I need hemmed edges?

Accepted Answer

For outdoor banners, yes. A hem folds and welds the edge so it's much stronger around the eyelets and less likely to tear in the wind. Mesh banners always come hemmed.

Question 4

Metal or plastic eyelets?

Accepted Answer

Metal eyelets are the strongest and the usual choice for outdoor banners. Plastic eyelets are lighter and fine for indoor or short-term use.

Question 5

How do I hang my banner?

Accepted Answer

Thread cable ties, bungees or rope through the eyelets and fix them to a fence, railing or frame. Add bags of cable ties in the spec above and you can hang it as soon as it arrives.

Question 6

What file should I send?

Accepted Answer

A print-ready PDF in CMYK, with fonts embedded or outlined. Design at full size or to scale, with images at 100–150dpi at full size. Keep text and logos 30mm inside the edge so they're clear of hems and eyelets. We also accept JPG and PNG.

Question 7

Will you check my artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check resolution, size, safe area and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Question 8

Can I send my artwork later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the option to email your artwork in the Artwork step and send it over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.
