Question 1

What sizes can I print?

Accepted Answer

Anything from A7 up to A3: A7, A6, A5, A4, A3 and DL (one-third A4). We also print square flyers at 105 × 105mm, 148 × 148mm and 210 × 210mm.

Question 2

How many flyers can I order?

Accepted Answer

From 25 up to 100,000. The price per flyer drops as the quantity goes up, so it's worth checking the next quantity up in the price table.

Question 3

What's the difference between a flyer and a leaflet?

Accepted Answer

A flyer is usually a single flat sheet, often A5 or A6, made for a short, punchy message: an offer, an event, a new opening. A leaflet usually carries more information and is often folded. The terms get used interchangeably though, and everything on this page is a flat, unfolded sheet.

Question 4

Which paper should I choose?

Accepted Answer

130gsm gloss is the budget favourite for mass handouts and door drops. 170gsm gloss or silk feels noticeably more substantial and suits most businesses. For something that feels premium, like a menu, price list or high-end promo, go for 350gsm or 450gsm silk card. Uncoated paper has a natural, writable feel, and we also offer a 350gsm recycled stock.

Question 5

Gloss, matt or soft touch: which lamination is best?

Accepted Answer

Gloss lamination makes colours pop with a high shine. Matt lamination gives a smooth, rich look with no glare, and it's the better choice if your flyer will be handled a lot. Soft touch has a velvety feel that makes a menu or premium promo feel special. All three protect against scuffs and moisture. Lamination is available on 250gsm silk and gloss, and on 350gsm and 450gsm silk card.

Question 6

Can I print on both sides?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose single or double sided in the spec above. Double sided gives you room for a map, a menu, terms or a second offer.

Question 7

Can I print different designs in one order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, up to 64. Set 'Different designs' in the spec and you'll get the chosen quantity of each design, all on the same paper and finish.

Question 8

What file should I send?

Accepted Answer

A print-ready PDF in CMYK, at 300dpi, with 3mm bleed and fonts embedded or outlined. Keep text 5mm inside the edge. With our free File Check service we also accept JPEG, TIFF and EPS. You can download PDF, Illustrator and InDesign templates for every size in the Artwork step above.

Question 9

Will you check my artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team run 60 checks on resolution, bleed, safe area, orientation and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, add bleed, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Question 10

Can I send my artwork later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the option to email your artwork in the Artwork step and send it over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.

Question 11

How long will my flyers take?

Accepted Answer

Choose Saver, Standard or Express in the price table. The estimated delivery date for each speed is shown at the top of its column and updates for the quantity you pick.

Question 12

Do I pay VAT on flyers?

Accepted Answer

Printed flyers and leaflets are usually zero-rated for VAT in the UK. The price bar at the bottom of the page shows whether VAT applies to your order before you add it to your basket.
