Question 1

Can I print on one side, both sides or all the way round?

Accepted Answer

Any of them, at no extra cost. The print area wraps around the mug, so you can place your design wherever you like within it.

Question 2

What colour are the mugs?

Accepted Answer

The outside is white, so your print shows at its brightest. You choose the colour of the inside and the handle: white, black, red, blue, green, yellow, orange or pink. Or pick the colour-changing mug, which is dark when cold and reveals your design when you pour in a hot drink.

Question 3

Can I print over the whole mug, handle and all?

Accepted Answer

No. We print within the wrap-around print area (200 × 80mm), not the handle, the very top and bottom or the base.

Question 4

What are they made of, and how are they printed?

Accepted Answer

Good-quality ceramic that feels sturdy and premium. We print by dye sublimation, which gives vibrant colours that last.

Question 5

Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both.

Question 6

How many can I order?

Accepted Answer

From 1 to 500 in a single order. The price per mug drops as you order more.

Question 7

Can I put photos on my mug?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Photos and detailed graphics both print well. Use images at 300dpi.

Question 8

Can I order different designs or names?

Accepted Answer

Yes, one design per order: add each design or personalised name to your basket separately.

Question 9

What file should I send?

Accepted Answer

A CMYK PDF, ideally PDF/X-1a, designed to the 200 × 80mm print area at 300dpi, with fonts outlined or embedded. No bleed needed. Keep text at least 8pt (10pt is better), and QR codes at least 2 × 2cm.

Question 10

Do they come in a gift box?

Accepted Answer

No, but they're well protected: a single mug comes in its own smash-proof box, two mugs in a double box, and 3 or more are individually wrapped in an outer carton.

Question 11

Are mugs good for events and gifts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. They're an inexpensive gift people actually keep, which makes them great for events, giveaways, client gifts and team perks.

Question 12

Will you check my artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check size, resolution and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Question 13

Can I send my artwork later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the option to email your artwork in the Artwork step and send it over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.

Question 14

How long will my order take?

Accepted Answer

Choose Saver, Standard or Express in the price table. The estimated delivery date for each speed is shown at the top of its column. UK mainland delivery is included.
