Question 1

What sizes can I print?

Accepted Answer

A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1, which covers everything from counter-top notices to big shop-window displays.

Question 2

What's the minimum order?

Accepted Answer

A5, A4 and A3 posters start at 25 copies. A2 and A1 start at 125. We can't print single posters on this product.

Question 3

Which paper should I choose?

Accepted Answer

130gsm gloss is a great all-rounder: bright, punchy colour at a low price. Silk gives a smoother, less shiny finish, uncoated has a softer, natural feel and is easy to write on, and 250gsm and up gives a stiff poster that stands up to handling. Weights available: 90gsm, 120gsm, 170gsm and 300gsm uncoated; 130gsm, 170gsm and 250gsm gloss; and 130gsm, 170gsm, 250gsm, 350gsm and 450gsm silk.

Question 4

Can I use these posters outdoors?

Accepted Answer

No. These are indoor posters and aren't weatherproof, so they're made for shops, offices, events and exhibitions.

Question 5

Can I print different designs in one order?

Accepted Answer

Each design is its own order. Add one design to your basket, then come back and build the next.

Question 6

What file should I send?

Accepted Answer

A print-ready PDF in CMYK, with fonts embedded or outlined, 3mm bleed on every edge and images at 300dpi at the final print size.

Question 7

Why do I need 3mm bleed?

Accepted Answer

Bleed is extra background that runs past the trim line. When the posters are cut, it stops thin white edges appearing.

Question 8

My poster has a lot of black. Which black should I use?

Accepted Answer

Use a rich black rather than plain 100% K. We recommend C75 M65 Y65 K100 for deep, even blacks on large areas.

Question 9

What are posters used for?

Accepted Answer

Events, special offers, menus, product launches, exhibitions and in-store promotions. They're one of the cheapest ways to get a big, visible message out.

Question 10

How are posters packed?

Accepted Answer

They're rolled and sent in sturdy tubes, so they arrive flat-ready and crease-free.

Question 11

Will you check my artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check resolution, size, bleed and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Question 12

Can I send my artwork later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the option to email your artwork in the Artwork step and send it over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.

Question 13

How long will my order take?

Accepted Answer

Choose Saver, Standard or Express in the price table. The estimated delivery date for each speed is shown at the top of its column and updates for the quantity you pick. UK mainland delivery is included.
