Question 1

What is a roller banner?

Accepted Answer

A portable display printed with your design. The graphic rolls up into its base and pulls up onto a support pole, so it's ideal for exhibitions, events, shops, receptions and presentations.

Question 2

What's included?

Accepted Answer

Your printed graphic fitted in its retractable base, a support pole and a free carry bag for transport and storage.

Question 3

What sizes do they come in?

Accepted Answer

All are 2m tall. Budget comes in 800 or 850mm wide, Standard Plus in 800, 850, 1000, 1200 or 1500mm, and Premium in 850mm.

Question 4

What's the difference between the stands?

Accepted Answer

Budget is the lowest price, in 800 or 850mm on 440gsm vinyl. Standard Plus is our most popular, in every width and both materials. Premium has a sturdier teardrop-shaped base and better hardware, and comes in 850mm on 610gsm blockout.

Question 5

Vinyl or blockout?

Accepted Answer

440gsm vinyl has a smooth satin finish. 610gsm blockout PVC stops light passing through, so bright lights or windows behind it won't show through your design.

Question 6

Is it printed on one side or both?

Accepted Answer

One side, in full colour, so it's made to stand against a wall or at the back of a stand.

Question 7

How do I set it up?

Accepted Answer

Take it out of the bag, pull the graphic gently up out of the base, slot the pole into the base and hook the top of the banner over the pole. Adjust until it's fully extended and taut.

Question 8

How does the top attach to the pole?

Accepted Answer

The top of the banner is fixed to a firm metal strip with a small toggle. Hook the toggle over the top of the pole and the banner stays taut.

Question 9

How do I roll it back down?

Accepted Answer

Unhook the top and let the banner wind back slowly and evenly, keeping your fingers clear of the edge.

Question 10

Can I use it outside?

Accepted Answer

Roller banners are made for indoor use. For outside, take a look at our PVC banners.

Question 11

How portable is it?

Accepted Answer

Very. Even the Premium stand weighs only about 3.9kg, and every banner comes with a carry bag.

Question 12

Is the wide 1500mm banner worth it?

Accepted Answer

For photo backdrops, sponsor walls and bigger exhibition spaces, yes. It gives you nearly twice the width of a standard banner.

Question 13

How do I clean and look after it?

Accepted Answer

The print is water-resistant and wipe-clean: use a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or scourers. Store it in its bag, away from damp, to protect the print and the mechanism.

Question 14

Can I get a new graphic for my old stand?

Accepted Answer

Not at the moment. Replacement graphics for existing bases aren't available, so each order is a complete banner and stand.

Question 15

What file should I send?

Accepted Answer

A PDF at full size (1:1) in CMYK, with 3mm bleed on every edge and a 50mm safe zone inside the trim. Use text at 18pt or bigger and lines at least 2pt thick.

Question 16

Where should I put my QR code or web address?

Accepted Answer

Not near the bottom: that part sits closest to the base and can disappear into it. Remember the banner stands on the floor, so put your main message at eye level.

Question 17

Will you check my artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes. File Check is free and selected by default: our prepress team check resolution, size, bleed and more, and contact you if anything needs fixing. If you'd rather we fixed the problems for you, choose File Assist. We'll resize, fix fonts and correct the layout for a flat fee. Nothing goes to print until the artwork is right.

Question 18

Can I send my artwork later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the option to email your artwork in the Artwork step and send it over when it's ready. Production starts once we have it.

Question 19

How long will my order take?

Accepted Answer

Choose Saver, Standard or Express in the price table. The estimated delivery date for each speed is shown at the top of its column and updates for the quantity you pick. UK mainland delivery is included.
